MORTUARY COLDROOMS
Refrigerated Body Storage

Colsec specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of mortuary coldrooms and chilled body storage solutions for hospitals, NHS trusts, funeral directors, crematoriums and healthcare facilities throughout the UK.
Every mortuary project is different, which is why we work closely with our clients to maximise available space and achieve the storage capacity required.
From mortuary coldrooms with multiple rows of storage racks to end-loading and side-loading cabinets, we can supply body storage systems in a wide range of sizes and configurations.
Our mortuary coldrooms and cabinets are manufactured to the same high standards as our modular coldrooms, using 80mm insulated polyurethane panels with a hygienic white laminate finish. All products are manufactured in-house at our Worcestershire facility, giving us complete control over quality, lead times and specification.

Mortuary COLDROOMS
Bespoke Mortuary Coldrooms
Bespoke mortuary coldrooms provide a flexible refrigerated storage area where the internal layout can be configured around the available space, storage requirements and working practices. Unlike cabinet systems, an open-access or bespoke mortuary coldroom allows staff to move freely within the space, providing seamless access for trolleys, racks and other storage requirements.
Example uses include:
Open access for trolley loading and movement
Rows of racks for body tray storage
Rows of racks for coffin storage
Mobile racks on castors for flexibility
Storage for coffins or body trays on trolleys
Access can be provided through insulated single doors, double doors, sliding doors or roller shutter doors, with each installation manufactured to suit the building layout and operational requirements.
