With over 50 years’ experience, Colsec is one of the UK’s established cold store construction specialists – designing, manufacturing and installing insulated panel systems for projects of all sizes.
We have delivered coldrooms and temperature-controlled environments across a wide range of sectors including food production, farm shops, supermarkets, retail, pubs and restaurants, warehousing and distribution, pharmaceuticals, laboratories, healthcare, funeral services, and many other industries.
We operate in-house manufacturing facilities covering over 32,000 sq ft, enabling us to produce insulated camlock panels, cold room doors, ancillaries, and components for a made-to-measure service for walk-in chiller and freezer coldrooms.
We also work closely with leading insulated panel suppliers such as Kingspan and Hemsec on larger or more bespoke installations.

How we support our customers
We provide a complete coldstore delivery service covering design, manufacturing and installation. Each stage is managed in collaboration with our project teams and installation engineers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently from initial enquiry through to handover.
Alongside our coldroom installation work, our dedicated service division Servacool provides coldroom repair, maintenance and ongoing support for businesses across the UK. This includes customers who may not require full replacement, but instead need repairs, refurbishment, or ongoing servicing to keep existing coldrooms operating effectively.
Design & Project Management
Our Project Management team produces detailed CAD layouts and drawings based on each client’s specific requirements, clearly defining the scope and specification of the coldroom project.
In addition to design and technical support, they act as a central point of contact throughout the project, helping to ensure clear communication and a smooth transition from initial enquiry through to completion.
Where bespoke coldrooms are required, our team will identify any potential challenges at an early stage and provide practical recommendations to help achieve the most effective coldroom design for the application.

Quality inspections
Before manufacture begins, site surveys are carried out to verify dimensions, assess access, and identify any site-specific requirements that may affect the installation.
During installation, our regional teams carry out regular site visits to monitor progress and help ensure works are completed to the required standard.
Manufacture & Installation
Our in-house manufacturing facility covers 32,000 sq ft and enables us to produce insulated camlock panels, coldroom doors and ancillaries for bespoke coldroom projects.
Where required, we also work with trusted suppliers including Kingspan and Hemsec for larger installations or where additional PIR panel systems are needed.
Once the design has been finalised by the Project Management team, we manufacture the insulated panels, doors and components in-house, ready for installation by our engineering teams.
We employ fully trained and experienced installation teams based across the UK to ensure nationwide coverage. This is supported by carefully selected subcontractors with proven experience in coldroom installation across a wide range of applications.
Service, Repair & Maintenance
Our dedicated service division, Servacool, provides repair, maintenance and servicing for all types of coldrooms across the UK.
We offer a fast and reliable service covering everything from repairs to coldroom doors and insulated panels through to extending existing coldrooms and carrying out general maintenance works.
We also carry out refurbishments and retrofitting of additional requirements where needed, helping to extend the life and performance of existing coldroom installations.
