Colsec mortuary coldrooms and mortuary cabinets are constructed to the same high standards as our modular coldrooms. Fully insulated with 80mm thick Polyurethane panels in a white hygienic laminate finish and completely manufactured in the UK at our 32,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Droitwich, Worcestershire.
We have been supplying mortuary coldrooms nationally throughout the UK since 1974, assisting NHS Trusts, hospitals, funeral directors and crematoriums.
End-Loading Mortuary Cabinet
Colsec can design, supply and install end-loading mortuary cabinets to suit your size requirements, consisting of either a single door or multiple doors, and can be provided as a chiller specification or a freezer specification.
The following sizes are available, and where a multi-compartment cabinet is required, this can consist of any combination of the following sizes:
- Standard – 560mm trays
- Semi-Obese – 660mm trays
- Obese – 750mm trays
- Bariatric – 850mm trays
Storage Racks
Each cabinet can include a body storage racking system complete with stainless steel body trays to suit the cabinet size required.

Side-Loading Mortuary Cabinet
The side-loading mortuary cabinet is a 2-tier or 3-tier cabinet and is often used in areas where limited space is available. This cabinet will allow for coffins and/or trays to be loaded into the coldroom through a sidewall rather than through the end.
An insulated roller shutter door is installed on the sidewall with manual operation as standard, but an option is available for the door to be operated electronically via push button or pull cord if required.
