We installed a side-loading mortuary coldroom, designed to accommodate up to four bodies within a restricted height area. We used 80mm thick PU camlock panels, manufactured at our factory in Droitwich, Worcestershire, and included for an electrically operated roller shutter door, activated by push button.

Due to height limitations, a 3-tier racking system with 385mm shelf gaps was installed as the primary configuration. To achieve the required four-body capacity, a ground-level shelf system (“ladders”) was incorporated, allowing an additional tray position at floor level.

The system was supplied with four 660mm wide stainless steel trays and a short top manual hydraulic side-loading trolley. Internal space was also configured to allow the trolley to be stored within the coldroom when required, maximising available external space.
