Who are Colsec?

With over 50 years’ experience, Colsec Ltd are one of the UK’s leading contractors specialising in insulated panelling and coldstore construction.

Established in 1974, we have a wealth of experience having worked on a diverse range and sizes of projects that cover areas such as food preparation and production, marine refrigeration, laboratory and test room installations, warehousing and distribution, retail outlets – large and small, funeral directors and hospitals. We understand the need to work alongside other trades and have good relationships with a number of associated trade contractors.

What makes us different from other contractors is that whilst we have built up strong relationships with major manufacturers of insulated panels and doors, we also have our own in-house manufacturing facilities covering over 32,000 square feet and can cater for the bespoke manufacture of insulated panels, doors and ancillaries to suit clients’ requirements.

We are well known for being able to manufacture and install high quality coldrooms to individual customer specifications and sizes making made to measure solutions for customers quickly and cost effectively.

Design & Project Management

Professional designs by our office based Project Management teams including detailed CAD layouts and drawings to meet with our clients’ exact requirements.

Our Project Manager teams will design, provide technical support and provide a communication portal for all projects we undergo to ensure a smooth transition from initial enquiry to hand over.

Where a bespoke coldstore is required, our Projects teams will identify any potential obstacles to the build and will advise and offer recommendations on the best way to proceed to allow for a high quality build.

Site Surveys & Site Management

Regionally based Sales & Contracts Managers provide field management support for customers, the commercial team, the operations team and the installation teams.

This support includes:
• Site surveys
• Pre-contract meetings
• Site meetings
• Regular site inspections for progress and H&S monitoring
• Quality inspections

Survey requests are attended in most instances by the regional Sales Manager or Contracts Manager for a particular region, this allows for the most efficient turnaround in responding to the Customer and head office needs.

Manufacture & Installation

Our in-house manufacturing facility is backed up with panel supply from Kingspan and Hemsec where PIR panels are required (These are LPC approved).

When the design has been finalised by the Project Management team, we have the capability to manufacture the insulated panels, insulated doors and ancillaries in-house, ready for the installation engineers.

We employ fully trained, qualified and experienced installation teams strategically placed around the country to ensure a nationwide service. This is supplemented by carefully selected sub-contractors who have a proven experience in the installation of all types of coldstore application.

Service, Repair & Maintenance

Our service division ‘Servacool’ has dedicated teams focussed on repair and maintenance works to all types of coldroom.

We offer a fast, reliable maintenance and repair service, available nationwide. Services include extending existing structures, repairs or replacement panels, doors and retrofitting of additional requirements.

We pride ourselves on a professional approach to all that we undertake whether it be repairing a door or constructing large coldstores.

From concept to completion we always aim to ensure our clients’ expectations are realised to the highest standards.

Office based Project Coordinators will finalise your design and provide customer support and a guaranteed communication portal for information and feedback.

Our field based contract managers and supervisors provide additional on-site support to our installation teams allowing for pro-active management of the construction phase aiming for a zero defect hand over to the customer.
