Brief
Coldstore and Blast Chiller Installation
A large coldstore and blast chiller facility was required within an existing warehouse for the handling of fresh fruit produce. The project focused on enabling efficient product transfer with minimal manual handling, creating a streamlined flow from intake through to blast chilling and storage.
Our task was
Supply and build a coldstore and blast chiller within an existing warehouse
Maximise available space including height within the building
Install high-speed access doors to suit operational requirements
Coordinate with a refrigeration contractor during installation

Project result
We delivered a coldstore and blast chiller installation designed to support a continuous product flow from intake through to blast chilling and final storage. The layout allowed produce to move via conveyor directly into the blast chiller and through into the coldstore, reducing handling and improving efficiency.
The coldroom structure was formed using PIR insulated panels, with ceiling panels following the apex of the warehouse to maximise internal volume. Multiple access points, including rapid rise doors, were installed in line with the client’s requirements to support operational use.
